  • Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays

  • Session Dates: January 6 – June 11, 2026

  • ​No Class on February 17 & 19, April 7 & 9. These dates align with the MPCSD week breaks.

  • Time: Class times are determined by the specific level your child will be attending. (Details will be provided upon enrollment/assessment.)​

2 / Determine Your Child's Level

​The schedule (and specific class time) is level-dependent. We offer two easy ways to determine the best fit:

  • For New Students: Please schedule a Free Placement Assessment with us at info@menlocs.com. This quick evaluation helps us identify the ideal starting point.

  • For Returning Students: Refer to the recommendation provided by your child’s previous instructor if you are unsure of the next level.

3 / Tuition & Fees

All tuition covers the full program session (January 6 – June 11, 2026).

  • For students not enrolled in MCS Afterschool: 

$2,150

  • For students already enrolled in MCS Afterschool:

$1,452

 

  • Registration Fee:

A one-time fee of $100 is required for new students only.

  • Textbooks:

Required materials must be purchased separately by parents. Details on textbooks will be provided upon enrollment.

Ms Yayin

Math Program Director and Lead Teacher

Ms. Yayin brings over 20 years of experience in education and a thoughtful approach to teaching. She earned her B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science and later taught Mathematics and Computer Science at the college level in Shanghai before relocating to the U.S. with her family more than two decades ago.​

​

Her passion for early childhood education began when she became a mom, inspiring her to devote her career to helping young learners build strong foundations in both language and math. Families appreciate her patience, her genuine love for working with children, and her ability to turn abstract concepts into clear, engaging lessons.

In her classroom, STEM thinking, logical reasoning, and joyful learning go hand in hand. She often incorporates gamified activities to make math fun, motivating, and confidence-building for every student.

​

Over the course of her career, she has cultivated a teaching approach that combines logical thinking with warmth and clear communication. She focuses on helping students build a solid mathematical foundation, develop confidence, and stay motivated through well-structured lessons and engaging learning activities that encourage curiosity and independent thinking.

​

Outside the classroom, she enjoys exploring new educational ideas, staying active, and spending time with her family. She looks forward to continuing to support each child’s growth and fostering a positive, lasting relationship with mathematics and learning.
